Zielona Gora
Zielona Góra is a town situated in western Poland, in the valley of the River Oder. In the twentieth century Zielona Gora was famous from festivals of Soviet songs that took place there until the early 90ties.
Zielona Gora (Green Mountain) is known for its rich tradition of wine production dating back to the fourteenth century. Nowadays in Zielona Gora other liquors are produced, among others vodka (V & S Luxury). In early September, 9-day festival Vintages takes place, that attracts lots of tourists. During the festival you can drink the local drinks, watch theatrical performances and motorcycle Tournament.
Zielona Gora survived the II world war with a little damage and now you can admire the beautifully preserved old town and the pre-war houses along the Avenue of Independence.
You can see the monuments of architecture designed by Berlin architects, such as theater, designed by Oskar Kaufmann.
