Zamosc
Zamosc is a town of the World cultural heritage, located in the eastern Poland. It is mostly famous from the impressive Renaissance Town Hall surrounded by beautiful historic houses with the arcades.
The construction of the city is based on patterns of Italian Renaissance urban architecture.
The heart of the town is one of the finest squares in Europe, build in the sixteenth century and surrounded by rows of beautiful colorful houses with arcades. Pride of the town is a magnificent Town hall with 52-meter tower and wide stairs.
Another attraction is the Old Town Cathedral.
Zamosc is one of the few towns that has the well-preserved foundations of city fortifications. You can make an excursions along the historic city walls to see the bastions and the inside walls with loopholes.
You can admire the beautiful panorama of the old town from the balcony of the eighteenth - century tower of the Zamosc Cathedral. An additional attraction is the opportunity to see one
of the largest belss in the country, called "John."
