The Sofitel is modernity both inside and out. From the front, the building is one great slab of glass, 6 storeys of refined design plus an impressive, glass atrium. Inside there's a warm mix of colors: deep brown, caramel and white, giving the impression of sophisticated elegance and full relaxation.
The Sofitel has a rich variety of modernly equipped rooms; from standard through superior rooms to the impressive Executive Apartment.
Training groups can use 10 professionally equipped conference rooms plus an ideal place for a banquet – the glass Atrium.
The guests' free time hasn't been forgotten. Gym, sauna, solarium, massage – after returning to the hotel we can take care of our physical shape, regretting only the fact that there's no swimming pool in the fitness offer.
The Sofitel is located in the very heart of Wroclaw's most attractive part and the street on which it stands leads directly to the Market Square. We can reach it in two minutes and walking there assures us that we live in the most attractive part of a vibrant city.
Rooms
The Sofitel offers 205 stylishly furnished rooms, including 171 Superior rooms, 18 Deluxe rooms and 15 high-class apartments. If we'd like even more, let's book a 120-square meter Senator Suite.
It's worth selecting a room on a higher storey or away from the street; otherwise traffic may become bothersome at times.
Every room is equipped with 2 telephones (in the room and in the bathroom), safe, cable TV (viewable on a flat screen), PAY-TV, air-conditioning, mini-bar, fax and internet connection, as well as bathroom with bathtub and shower, including a Roger & Gallet cosmetics set.
Bed in the Deluxe room provides luxury on the highest level, comfortable mattress and plenty of space for a peaceful rest.
We can order a meal to our room at any time.
It would be nice to see a coffee/tea maker in every room, not just in the apartments.
Only 1 room has been adapted to the needs of handicapped guests.
Restaurant
Breakfast is an obligatory event of a stay at the Sofitel. Huge selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres makes the day's first meal a true pleasure, giving energy and nice memories for the remainder of the day.
The menu is a very successful mix of Polish, French and Italian cuisine. Prices are higher than in restaurants on the town, so it's worth to take advantage of the hotel's great location and take a walk through the nearby streets in search of the favorite delicacies.
The hotel's "Bistro Cappuccino" and "Mike's Bar" are places that tempt with a cup of coffee and exotic drinks; it's worth visiting them if we have some free time in the evening.
If we decide to have supper outside of the hotel, a visit to Vincent Restaurant (Ruska Street) will be a bull's-eye. The restaurant has received an award for the best restored historic tenement interior. Inside there are beautiful wooden ceilings, several magnificently decorated 14th century cellars and a menu composed of the best ideas of Italian, Spanish and French cuisine.
Conference rooms
The hotel's offer to business travelers consists of 10 conference rooms. All are air-conditioned and have internet access. The largest one – the "Europa" can seat over 200 people. On the other hand, the "Atrium" with its glass ceiling is a perfect place for a sumptuous banquet.
Unfortunately, there's no Business Centre, where we could use a computer, fax or other office equipment.
Additional Services
Even though this is Old Town, we won't have any problem with parking a car – the hotel's underground car park can accommodate as many as 300 cars.
The hotel's recreational part looks quite good; we can spend the free time in a gym, in a sauna or in a Jacuzzi. We also have a chance to get some suntan in a solarium, but it's a pity we can't show it off in a swimming pool. Instead of swimming, we can relax our muscles during a massage.
