Another of more than a dozen Qubus Hotels all over Poland, this time a four-star one, is perfectly situated - in a beautiful city and in a beautiful location. The attraction-filled Wroclaw, St. Maria Magdalena Street leading to Europe's second largest market square full of magnificent monuments - that's where we'll find the Qubus. It looks new and seems to have no flaws - very tastefully decorated rooms with air-conditioning and mini-bars, free Internet access, 24-hour Room Service, superb recreational center - which includes a pool, a gym and a sauna - an elegant restaurant, professionally equipped conference rooms with Business Center - let's list only its most important assets.
One has to contend with the fact that the Qubus is going to be visited by many guests, who will want to personally experience its many attractions, which fully deserve four stars. That's why the free part of the hotel's car park could be a little larger. A safe in every room would also be a good idea in my opinion. If we disregard the last two remarks, the Qubus hotel is a 100% perfect proposition.
We'll easily communicate in English, German and French with the open and cordial front desk staff.
Rooms
The hotel projects newness and cleanliness to such a degree, that one could think it has just been opened. The interior is decorated in classic style. The combination of the modern equipment and the traditional, low-key decor makes us fell very comfortable at the Qubus.
Single rooms, doubles, higher-standard doubles, apartments and suites - 83 rooms in total - are standard-equipped with a telephone, a mini-bar, TV Sat, Pay-TV and a radio. They're large, bright, tastefully decorated with paintings and cozy.
Bathrooms are equipped with showers or bathtubs (higher-standard rooms) and just like the rest of the interior, they're sparklingly clean.
When it comes to specific rooms, number 408 is really worth recommending - spacious and decorated so warmly, that we feel like we're at home. When making a reservation, it's also worth asking for a room with a view of the St. Maria Magdalena Church.
The rooms, just like the entire hotel, are air-conditioned and have internet access (permanent and wireless connection). We can order Room Service at any time.
Unfortunately, the Qubus has only 1 room for the handicapped. There are 2 modern elevators to reach higher floors.
Restaurant
The restaurant's name sounds dignified and its interior also creates such impression.
A visit to the "Maria Magdalena" is a chance to try specially selected European and international cuisine. One should necessarily at least once order a piece of culinary heaven, featured in the menu as the "balsamico duck".
Discreet glow surrounding the ceiling, a fireplace, quiet music coming from loudspeakers, colorful decorations and flowery garlands and candles on every table make for a stylish decor and subtle, hospitable ambience.
For an affordable price, until midnight we can try Polish and foreign specialties in the restaurant or the drink-bar.
Conference rooms
A modern proposition for business travelers is one of the hotel's priorities.
If we'd like to organize a training course for a group or a small conference here, the Qubus offers two mid-size conference rooms, equipped with all the necessary gear. If needed, they can be connected to obtain more space; then they can hold up to 70 people.
Without additional charges, the hotel makes available for its guests the Business Center, equipped with computers with internet access, a printer, a fax and a document shredder.
The hotel's restaurant provides full and professional catering service.
Its elegant interior are perfect for organizing a formal supper or banquet.
Additional Services
Guests who like to take care of their physical shape can relax at the fitness center where, depending on the preference, one can use a pool, a small, but well-equipped gym, a sauna and a Jacuzzi.
A superb idea, allowing us to conveniently and quickly see the most interesting places in the city, is a horse-carriage ride. On request, the hotel staff efficiently arranges for this type of pleasant sightseeing and it also makes bookings for cinemas, the opera and theatres.
A nice gesture on part of the hotel is the possibility to use wireless internet free of charge. Additionally, there's an excellent selection of Polish and foreign press - over 400 titles. It's also possible to use a safe at the front desk.
Guests who come to the Qubus by car, can park it directly in front of the hotel, in the car park's free area (7 spaces) or a bit further away, at the charge of 47 PLN for 24 hours.
It's also possible to take pets to the hotel at the charge of 10 euros per day.
Prices include breakfast and VAT.
