Wroclaw's HP Park is the third hotel of a small B & D HOTELS chain. The hotel façade's dark blue slab of glass reflects in the blue surface of water - the Park Plaza is located right near the Odra River and it makes the view from a window or a meal on the summer terrace a great pleasure. Green islands on the Odra, a beautiful 13th-century cathedral and panorama of the Old Town can be viewed from many of the hotel's windows. However, the panoramic windows in rooms of higher standard provide the best views.
Decor of the rooms and their equipment are fully deserving of 4 stars. If we add several conference rooms, fitness club with a sauna, a restaurant with a club and the hotel's casino, we'll begin to have an idea of what we can expect when we arrive in Wroclaw. We shouldn't overlook the fact, that the HP Park is located in the centre of Wroclaw, near Ostrów Tumski (the oldest part of the city), the Market Square and the University, not far from the main road to Poznan and Warsaw.
Both the businessmen on business trips, as well as individual tourists will find something for themselves here, if only they want a good, four-star hotel in Wroclaw
Rooms
On six floors of the huge hotel, there are nearly 180 rooms and one of the better ideas is allocation of three floors only to non-smoking guests.
The rooms are decorated in a modern fashion. Cleanliness and the look of the furniture and the equipment are beyond reproach - after all, this is one of the newest hotels in the city.
Every room is equipped with a telephone, TV sat, pay-TV channels, radio, permanent internet connection. As befits a four-star hotel, the HP Park hasn't forgotten about well-stocked mini-bars and 24-hour Room Service. Ability to individually control the air-conditioning settings during the ever-hotter Polish summers is also a great advantage. The comfort of living in those large, nicely furnished rooms is further enhanced thanks to the possibility of using a coffee/tea maker.
In addition to standard double rooms, the guests can stay in two 2-room apartments, 11 Superior rooms of higher standard and 8 studio rooms (bedroom and a day room). It's worthwhile to book a superior room, where we can enjoy more space and where its large, panoramic windows provide a view of Wroclaw's Old Town and several islands on the Odra River.
The Park Plaza is a hotel friendly to the needs of handicapped persons - it offers 4 handicapped rooms and if needed, all the necessary assistance in reaching them or any other place. There are also 2 lifts.
Restaurant
"Panorama" is not only the name of the restaurant, but also a harbinger of the view, which people who got a window table will enjoy. Location right on the bank of the Odra River is a chance for relaxing views of green islands and the vicinity of Ostrów Tumski while dining. On warm days, it's possible to move to the summer terrace overlooking the river and because the restaurant's décor is very cozy, we'll surely have a dilemma where to stay longer.
Varied, delicious and beautifully served breakfast in the form of a buffet is an easily noticeable asset of the restaurant. What more can we expect? Superb meal selection of Polish and European cuisine at decent prices (about 50 PLN is enough for a dinner)... Delicious desserts prepared by Master of Confectionery Mirosław Kos, winner of the Polish Chocolate Creativity Award...
We can stay as late as 2 AM at the hotel's Meander club and try the taste of exotic drinks in an intimate ambience.
Conference rooms
The hotel offers very good conference facilities. 5 air-conditioned and equipped with professional audio-visual gear conference rooms can easily accommodate both small (e.g. 15-person groups) as well as larger ones (up to about 200 persons when the conference rooms are connected)
An interesting offer is the exclusive business room "113", where several people can hold a meeting in comfortable conditions and if needed, use high-quality multimedia equipment and the internet.
Complete servicing of a conference or organization of a banquet even for 300 people also isn't a problem.
To provide even better facilities for businessmen, it would be worthwhile to make available a professional Business Centre. Currently, some of its typical services (copies, faxing) are provided by the front desk.
Additional Services
There's no shortage of proposals for travelers who take care of their physical shape - they can use a fitness club and a sauna at no additional cost.
American roulette and Black Jack are another idea of spending a relaxing evening or quite the contrary, one filled with dramatic emotions and great hopes for a win.
In front of the hotel there is a paid, supervised, ground-level car park. There is also an underground garage. Fee for 24 hours of parking is 40 PLN.
The hotel accepts pets for a 10 EUR per day fee.
