The Gem is definitely a place for a longer, vacation stay, preferably for a group of active relaxation fans. The entire hotel complex has been created with one thing in mind - providing a comfortable place to rest after guests get tired of swimming in the pool, bodybuilding in the gym, playing football, tennis, bicycle riding, riverside walks, tanning in the solarium, sitting in the sauna, treatments in the beauty salon - e.g. everything the hotel's recreational section offers.

There are quite a few ideas of spending free time, but if sports mainly make us tired, we can totally concentrate on sightseeing in Wroclaw and return to the hotel only to sleep. Centre of the city is 5 kilometers away.

The hotel has 6 conference rooms, so the Gem can easily organize training courses, conferences or integrational events for employees.

Guests can select from slightly over 50 simply and functionally furnished rooms. Those seeking higher standards and more space can reserve one of the three air-conditioned 2- or 1-room apartments.

It's worth to include a weekend in our stay; room rates are then at least 20% lower. The Gem is a good idea if our budget is modest.

Rooms

The hotel's lodging section is far smaller than the recreational one - the building has 55 rooms. Guests can select singles, doubles, triples and 3 apartments.
All rooms are equipped with bathrooms, telephone and TV-SAT.
If we find a double room for 50 EUR per night, the most important thing is that there are no nasty surprises justifying the low price. We don't have to worry about it at the Gem. The hotel's motto: "Hospitable- European- Pleasant" isn't just an empty slogan. The rooms are clean, space isn't lacking and the furniture as well as décor, even though simple, is totally adequate.
A two-room apartment provides very comfortable and hospitable accommodations. What's more, it only costs 80 EUR.

The hotel is adapted to the needs of handicapped persons.

Restaurant

The restaurant serves European dishes, including quite a good selection of Polish cuisine. Prices are moderate, if not low.
There's also a drink bar on premises.

Conference rooms

The hotel's conference facilities allow the organization of a larger business meeting or a training course in small groups, including integrational and outdoor events.

Conference rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with foil projectors, screens, videos, TV sets and flipcharts. Each also has a permanent internet connection. For an additional fee simultaneous interpreting equipment is available.

Conference rooms can accommodate from 20 to 100 persons.

Additional Services

The hotel complex includes large green areas, so it's excellent for organizing an outdoor event, even for many hundreds of people. The schedule of such an event should include a grill and a boat cruise along the picturesque banks of the Odra River with mooring right near the hotel.

Sports fans will not be bored here. Swimming pool (25 meters), gym, 10 tennis courts (including 3 indoor ones), bicycles, football and beach ball fields - there's a lot to choose from. It's a good opportunity to take care of one's physical shape without spending a lot of money. There's a Water Sports Academy at the swimming pool, so we have a chance to sample some variety by taking additional diving courses, for example.


Use of the swimming pool is included in the price of a room. The remaining sports activities require an additional fee. Tennis court rental costs about 15 - 25 PLN for 1 hour of play, a workout in the gym will make us 6 PLN poorer and a visit to the sauna costs 10 PLN.

The hotel has a guarded car park for automobiles and buses with about 100 parking spaces. The parking fee is respectively 15 and 25 PLN.

Parents with children also won't be bored here. Even the youngest kids will be able to have fun in the specially prepared playground.
