The Mercure Helios Hotel is located in the very center of the city of Torun, famous for its delicious Torun gingerbread. In the hotel's vicinity we'll find Torun's antique Old Town, which is Poland's most beautiful, as well as the birthplace of the famous astronomer - Nicolaus Copernicus.
It is a 5-story building, which in addition to being a place of rest is also a training center.

Rooms
The renovated Mercure Helios Hotel offers accommodations in 110 comfortably equipped rooms. This number includes 57 standard single rooms with single beds, 48 standard double rooms with two single beds and 5 apartments with double beds.
The hotel provides 66 non-smoking rooms, as well as 2 rooms for handicapped guests.
All rooms feature bathroom with shower, bed, work desk, high speed internet access, stationery, alarm clock, soundproof doors, keycard, baby crib, pay TV, radio, TV, cable TV and room darkening curtains. Additional bedding and irons are available on request.
In selected rooms there is a coffee/tea maker and the bathrooms are equipped with bathtubs.
For an additional fee, it's possible to add such services as telephone, room service and mini-bar.
Guests who choose a standard apartment will enjoy 2 rooms - a bedroom and a living room, as well as a bathroom with a bathtub.
Restaurant
On the hotel's first floor there is an air-conditioned Solaris Restaurant open from 1 PM until 11 PM. It can accommodate 80 people at a time in its comfortable chairs at rectangular tables. There are separate smoking and non-smoking sections.
This elegant restaurant offers a full range of regional and European cuisine, so no-one is going to leave it hungry and dissatisfied. Breakfasts are served in the form of a buffet.
Contemporary decor, pleasant and professional service and above all, the superb flavor of the dishes are priceless advantages of this restaurant.
On its walls there are frescos portraying a fragment of Nicolaus Copernicus' book “On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres”.
In addition to the restaurant, the hotel's first floor also features the Meteor Bar, where tired guests can find some rest and relaxation enjoying a glass of excellent wine or a cup of aromatic coffee. The bar is open from 9 AM until 11 PM and accommodates 25 persons.
Conference rooms
The hotel has five conference rooms named after planets of the solar system: Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Venus. The 105-square meter Saturn is the largest of them, while the 27-square meter Mars is the smallest, although its small size is not a problem when it comes to organizing a training course or a presentation. It's possible to connect conference rooms, which can result in the total size of up to 275 square meters.
Every one of those rooms is equipped with audiovisual gear such as: transparency projector, video, writing boards, markers, TV etc.
Those conference rooms are fully ready to host all types of events, such as balls or cocktail parties, as well as training courses, conferences and other business meetings.
The participants in those events will of course be served by the restaurant's staff with a cup of coffee or tea and a small, but very tasty treat.
Additional Services
The Mercure Hotel is open 24 hours and the front office staff will greet us in one of four languages: Polish, English, German or Russian.
The room rate includes additional services such as: reading corner, informational materials about the city and the region, as well as safe deposit boxes in the reception. The hotel also features currency exchange, souvenir shop, laundry, clothes press, shoeshine machine and newsstand.
Drivers can leave their cars in the hotel's guarded car park.
The hotel has also introduced facilities for disabled guests, such as handles in bathtubs and showers, doors adapted to the needs of handicapped persons, light and lamp switches placed in lower locations and entrance ramps. Also, nobody will have any problems entering the restaurant.
Animal lovers can bring along their four-legged friends for an additional fee of 20 PLN.
The room rates include breakfast and children up to the age of 16 receive a discount at the hotel. Payment for accommodation and other hotel services can be made in cash or by credit card.
The hotel's employees also make every effort to make the guests' stay more attractive. The Mercure Hotel organizes tourist excursions, outdoor events in Torun's Old Town and concerts by the folk band "Toruniacy".
The hotel also encourages its guests to participate in active relaxation by playing sports, which is made easier thanks to the possibility of using nearby facilities.
Not far from the hotel there are: the AZS Torun basketball court, the Grakula Bowling Alley, football field at the municipal stadium, the Talfort golf course and a tennis court belonging to the start Wisla club.
