Tolkmicko
Tolkmicko lies at the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park.
It is a combination of mountain, forest and sea landscapes.
It is a perfect place to practice sailing and water sports as well as an excellent area for walks and excursions.
The area includes three forest reserves: Kadyński Las (Kadyny Forest), Buki Wysoczyzny Elbląskiej (Beeches of Elbląg Upland), and Pióropusznikowy Jar (Fern Ravine).
In the Kadyny village you will see the largest oak in Poland - Jan Bażyński oak. The largest erratic boulder called Sacred Stone lies in the waters of Vistula lagoon.
In Tolkmicko tourists can visit such points of interests like a 14th-century parish church of St. Jacob, a Gothic tower, a 17/18th-century bourgeois house and an 18th-century baroque chapel.
Kadyny is probably the most interesting village of the Elbląg Upland. The German Emperor Wilhelm II reconstructed the entire village with the help of top architects.
It features a complex of manor buildings with a baroque palace, former granary and orangery, a still-famous majolica shop, a delightfully situated 18th-century Franciscan monastery.
The school building designed by well-known architect Conrad Steinbrecht now houses
a stylish restaurant and a hotel called Gościniec pod Srebrnym Dzwonem (Silver Bell Inn).
