The Topaz looks very pleasant, both inside and out. The pastel green façade and trees surrounding the one-storey building give it an additional aura of harmony and peace.
Sometimes we approach two-star hotels carefully, afraid that low price means low quality. When it comes to the Topaz Hotel, this isn't the case at all. As soon as we enter the lobby lit with warm halogen light, we can see that the hotel is well maintained and in reality closer to three stars than two.

It's a good place if we want to isolate ourselves from the urban noise and rest or work in peace and quiet. The rooms certainly won't overwhelm us with luxury, but we'll be satisfied if our priorities are a reasonable price, security, nicely furnished colorful interior and additionally internet access.

Because of the car park, the hotel is attractive to guests with cars, who are seeking accommodations in a green, quiet part of Poznan's centre, but at the same time close to the site of the International Trade Fair.

The Topaz is a very decent two-star hotel and if it weren't for a limited restaurant offer, there would be absolutely no reason to complain.

Rooms

From among the 29 rooms offered by the hotel, we can book a single, a double, a triple or a studio.
The rooms are standard-equipped with TV-SAT and a telephone. Most of them also have quick Internet (512 kb/s), which we can use free of charge. There's a bathroom with a shower in every room.
The rooms don't lack anything as far as furnishings and general appearance are concerned - we're getting a large and a well-kept room at a low price. The equipment looks like new, delicate pastel wall colors, tiny lamps and pictures on the walls make the interior more cheerful. Bathrooms are also beyond reproach - it's impossible to find any permanent signs of use in them.

The Topaz is a typical B&B hotel. Generally, we can only have a breakfast on premises, unless we order dinner or supper a day in advance. However, the very centre of the city is so close, that we don't have to worry about finding a place to eat. During a half-hour stroll towards the Old Town, we'll have a chance to visit several small restaurants and pizzerias. For a price of a hotel dinner (30-35 PLN), we'll easily find a soup, a salad plus a lasagna that smells of béchamel.

In case of organized groups, it's possible to order a dinner and a supper, and also to hold a larger event, e.g. a wedding.
The hotel is adapted to the needs of handicapped persons; it has a special ramp and all facilities are accessible from the ground level.

Conferences

The Topaz has quite good conference facilities - it's possible to organize a workshop for a small group and a conference for more than 100 persons.
The inconspicuous 1-storey building has 5 air-conditioned conference rooms of various sizes, equipped with audio-visual gear.
The hotel's restaurant provides catering, including coffee breaks, dinners, suppers and banquets.

Additional Services

Guests who have cars will be able to easily reach the hotel and safely park their vehicles. The hotel has its own fenced car park, the use of which is included in the price of the room.
