Katowice:
  • Spodek - the biggest hall in Poland.

  • Silesian Insurgents Monument - the biggest and heaviest monument in Poland.

    87 miniature books of the major Polish literature, the smallest being the 'Latin alphabet' measuring 0,8 by 1,0 millimeter
  • Parachute tower - the only remaining in Poland.
    35 metre high steel parachute tower is located in the Tadeusz Kosciuszki Park. A legendary point in the defence of Katowice.

  • Sosnowiec - Palace Schon

  • Bytom - Upper Silesian Narrow Railroad Line

Katowice

Normally associated with coal mines and tons of coal, its surroundings are not just chimneys and mine shafts. This big agglomeration together with the nearby cities of Chorzow, Bytom, Tychy, Sosnowiec and Gliwice has really more to show for.
