The Podewils Hotel is a baroque, carefully restored 18th-century palace, from which a walk to the Old Town takes only several minutes.
It's a miniature hotel with a small number of rooms (only 10), but a lot of effort was put into making each of them unique, surprisingly cozy, stylish and superbly equipped. Antique furniture, which adorns the Podewils, stands in a contrast to the modern equipment available to its guests. Relaxing bath in a Jacuzzi, a visit to the hotel's sauna, an evening of movie-watching in the room (equipped with a TV and DVD), supper in the restaurant by the fireplace - these are only a few possibilities of spending time at the hotel.
It's an excellent place for a romantic weekend in the surrounding of flowers, beautiful furniture and paintings.

Rooms

Only 10. Just 10 rooms, but so much imagination and taste was put into decorating each of them. Every room is different, and we can select among the Superior, De Luxe rooms, standard apartments, the Presidential Apartment and the Podewils room. The Presidential Apartment takes an entire storey of the hotel with three different rooms of the Superior, De Luxe and Podewils type.
Equipment in each room deserves the highest praise and meets various needs of traveling guests, including those seeking luxury, peace, freedom or entertainment.
Room service is available 24 hours. Entire hotel is air-conditioned; air-conditioning in the rooms is individually controlled. Guests are greeted with fresh fruit and flowers. A safe, a mini-bar, a telephone, wireless Internet, CD player, TV and DVD, marble, sparklingly clean bathrooms with Jacuzzi and hydro massage, telephone, hair dryer, bathrobe - at this hotel absolutely nothing has been overlooked.
Rooms at the Podewils are a blend of modernity subtly integrated into the antique-filled, baroque-inspired interior- a journey to the 18th-century Gdansk. On the palace's three storeys, we see a countless number of fancifully designed furniture, magnificent interplay of pastel colours, paintings, various ornaments and trinkets. However, we don't have the sense of troubling glamour; the rooms are superbly arranged, large and bright. The attic rooms are especially cozy. The yacht harbour, the famous Crane, Motlawa River and the Old Town on its other bank - that's the view from the hotel's windows.
The hotel isn't equipped with a lift or facilities for the handicapped.

Restaurant

The restaurant is another part of the hotel's interior, which is a source admiration. Its decor is also influenced mostly by rich, full of finesse rococo style and the glamorous baroque.
In the menu, we'll find selected meals of international cuisine and quite a few French meals. Additionally, there's a large list of the best wines.
The chef arranged the menu in such a way, that one regrets leaving the table, not to mention the hotel. It's no wonder, that the Podewils restaurant was selected by renowned trade magazines as the best restaurant in the Tri-City area.

The view of Motlawa River, and on warm days the possibility of eating a meal on the terrace, add even more charm to the refined in taste and presentation meals served at the Podewils.

Additional Services

If a bath in a Jacuzzi hasn't relaxed us as much as we expected, we can continue to improve our health at the hotel's sauna; the Turkish or the Finnish one. On request, the hotel also provides massages, cosmetic and hair care services.

The hotel's guests, who bring their own car, can use the car park free of charge.
